About SparkWright

SparkWright reads your spark plug for you. Take a photo of the firing end straight after a run and the app compares what it sees against the FIRING END ANALYSIS chart used in the workshop, then tells you whether the engine is running rich, lean or just right. You get the panel the plug most closely matches, the likely causes and concrete next steps for jetting, needle position and air filter, in seconds, without waiting for a second opinion trackside.

It is built for Rotax 125 Max racers at club and national level, and for anyone who tunes their own engine: drivers chasing the last tenth, mechanics setting up a kart on a Friday night, and parents learning to read a plug alongside their young driver. If you have ever held a plug up to the light and wondered whether that colour was healthy or a warning, SparkWright is for you.

SparkWright is made by Wright Racing Engines, a Rotax Authorised Service Centre. Everything in the app comes from the same charts and the same experience we use on customer engines, and the reading is deliberately honest: when a photo is too blurred, badly lit or simply does not show the firing end, it says so rather than guessing at a mixture.

You can start free with four readings. After that it is £1.99 a year for unlimited use. As with any reading, treat it as a guide, confirm every change with another run, and investigate any sign of detonation before chasing lap time.
